Headcanons For Spells, Prefects, etc.
Written by Em.
Apples is adept at the charm Avis, which creates a flock of birds from the caster’s wand. He is also good at Avifors, which turns inanimate objects into birds.
Sous is handy at Episkey, used to heal relatively minor injuries. When this spell is cast, the person feels his/her injured body part go very hot and then very cold. She is also good at Ferula, which creates a bandage and a splint. This comes from her Quidditch days and spending time with Madame Pomfrey in the Hospital Ward.
Eva is proficient in Specialis Revelio, which causes an object to show its hidden secrets or magical properties since she often researches old books, scrolls, and miscellaneous objects for History of Magic. She is also quick with Aparecium, a spell that makes invisible ink, and perhaps invisible items in general, appear.
Crow is also good at Aparecium and Tergeo, which siphons material from a surface (especially ink from a scroll, which is especially helpful when she gets into her writing frenzies). She also uses Scribblifors, which turns objects into writing quills.
A lover of food (actually, many of us are hahah), Rhy tends to abuse the Engorgio charm to make mostly food objects to swell in size. Rhy also uses Draconifors fairly often, so that the dragon statue turns into a real dragon that breathes fire.
Chris, ever since she first learned it in class, has always been best at Cheering Charms. She is also good at Transfiguration in general, especially turning things into hockey pucks. Because of Rhy’s dragon tomfoolery, Chris has also gotten very good at Aguamenti, which creates a jet of water from the tip of the wand.
Em is used to using Aresto Momentum whenever Quidditch games erupt and players get out of control ;p This spell is used to slow down an object or being that is moving. She is also very good at Sonorus, which magnifies the spell caster’s voice, functioning as a magical megaphone and Quietus, which makes a magically magnified voice return to normal.
All of us have gotten very good at the Muffliato spell, which keeps nearby people, or those to whom the wand is directed, from hearing nearby conversations.
Em’s favorite class is Arithmancy, followed by Potions. She once tried to help Apples but the professor docked off house points from both of them when he found out.
Em eventually becomes a professor of Arithmancy at Hogwarts, after a stint of individual research and book publishing.
Sous is the one who tends to be most maternal and caring, especially toward nervous first years in Gryffindor. Her talent at healing physical pain and cheering charms, in addition to her caring ear and warm presence makes her a comfort to many adjusting to a life at Hogwarts.
Em is quick to point out any infractions (though first time offenders, unless serious, will usually get off with only a verbal warning and scolding) and likes things to be orderly in the Ravenclaw house. She can get very detail-oriented and nitpicky. But she also gives good advice on how to do well in classes and how to deal with the professors.
Head Girl Eva is tough but fair with Gryffindors, unafraid to be blunt when necessary. However, she is highly respected and while some are intimidated by her presence, she is also the first to give praise when someone deserves it (a bit McGonagall-like imho).
(and sorry, I don’t know everyone well enough to give headcanons ;~;)
